Dear Sir:

I am a Pastor living approximately ei ht to nine miles from 6

the proposed Marble Hill Nuclear Plant.

I have been follow- -

ing, with a 6reat deal of interest, to the development of safety provisions dealing with the nuclear energy field.

It is my conviction that the safety interest of a given 4

locality are best served when they have some voice in shaping-these policies. I believe that it is essential that counties maintain a high level of self-detemination with respect. to evacuation plans developed for the possible occurrence of a nuclear accident. I have shared and will continue to share these convictions with some of our church members. I have found 6eneral support for this feeling.

I hope you will take this into account as your commission develops guide lines for evacuation plans.

I would be interestod in the outcome of your decision-making progress.
