SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT, APPLICATION DATED SEPTEMBER 3, 1992, AND SUPPLEMENT DATED NOVEMBER 23, 1992, RE REVISED RADIOLOGICAL CONTINGENCY PLAN (PLAN)
Backaround CE is authorized by License Condition 21 to revise its Plan provided that the revision does not reduce the effectiveness of the Plan. By application dated September 3,1992, and supplement dated November 23, 1992, CE submitted changes to its Plan.
Discussion Changes to the Plan include (1) updating the position titles-in the Emergent.y Response Organization to reflect the current organization, (2) clarifying the working t-elationship between the Emergency Director and the offsite emergency respo.1se fire officer, and (3) clarifying the responsibility of the Radiation Protection personnel during uranium handling operations.
Conclusion / Recommendation The staff agrees with CE's conclusion that the revisions do not decrease the effectiveness of the Plan. Thi, cmendment is issued for the convenience of the Commission to maintain up-to-date references to the Plan in the license.
The Region ! Principal Inspector has no objection to this proposed action.
