SULUECT: 1993 NRC EROSION / CORROSION WORKSilOP We would like to invite you and members of your staff to participate in the 1993 NRC Erosion / Corrosion Workshop. The workshop is scheduled to be held in Region I on February 9,1993. The objective of the workshop is to address current crosion/ corrosion (EC) issues by promoting industry, NRC, and research organization discussions in regard to EC in high energy, carbon steel piping systems. The morning of the workshop is divided into a number of talks by industry, NRC and EPRI members relative to the implementation of EC programs by industry licensecs, The afternoon of the workshop will allow participants to attend one of three discussion groups (breakout sessions). The breakout sessions cover the fol:owing areas relative to implementation of EC monitoring programs: A) EC monitoring program scopes, including methods for selecting systems and components for inspection,11) practices for inspecting carbon steel components, and C) methods of evaluating inspection data and dispositioning results. The discussion groups will present their findings to the collective workshop audience at the end of the breakout sessions. Final concluding remarks will be made by industry and NRC members at the end of the workshop program.
