50-245/304 MEMORANDUM FOR: Albert Schwencer, Chief, ORB #1 FROM: Thenis P. Speis, Chief, ARB, DPM

SUBJECT:

REQUEST FOR DATA FROM LICENSEES OF INDIAtl POINT 4

UNITS 2 AND 3, AND ZION UNITS 1 AND 2 At the meeting of Januar.y 11, 1980 between NRC and the licensees for Indian Point 2/3 and Zion 1/2, the Advanced Reactors Branch requested that the licensees forward to that branch, through the project managers, data about the plants. This included as-built drawings of the primary system and containment, including dimensions and masses, and meteorological and population data in the vicinity of the plant. Portions of this data are to be forwarded to Sandia and Los Alamos, and other portions to the Radiological Assessment Branch as they become available. A copy of the list of data requested is attached, and copies of this list have been given to the project managers and already provided to the licensees.

I Due to the tight deadlines that we are working it is important that the information requested be provided as expediously as possible.

Please contact E. Fenicermacher or J. Carter of the Advanced Reactors Branch, if there are any questions on this.
