Three level trancndtters are uced to provide redundancy becauce it is a very important

parameter.

Three seta of nozzles were specified in the event DRL required us to add a high level reactor trip.

IIowever, reactor coolant flow rate is used in the reactor protective system and there is only one set of nozzles on each flow tube.

One ret of level sencin6 nozzles can be diminated now at a coat savinga; they cannot be climinated 1

after they are installed.

Level sensing nozzles can be added later, should it be deter-I mined that they are required.
