Dear Dr. Murley:

The purpose of this letter is to provide the inspection results on the last of the Braidwood Station circuit breakers which were within the scope of Bulletin 88-01.

The results of these Unit 2 circuit breakers are listed in Table 1 of the Attachment. Also, in this attachment, in Table 2, are the inspection results for all 73 breakers at Braidwood Station within the scope of Bulletin 88-01.

The subject NRC Bulletin requested that holders of operating.11 censes or construction permits for Nuclear Power Reactors provide information on Westinghouse series DS circuit breakers and safety concerns associated with their use. Additionally, to request that addressees using these breakers in class 1E service perform and document inspection of the alignment in the-breaker closing mechanism.

Reference (1)-reported the status of.ctrcuit breaker inspections at Braidwood Station.

At that time, 69 of the 73 breakers had been inspected and-dispositioned.

Subsequent to this response, the remaining 4 breakers, all Unit 2 Type 206, were inspected and dhpositioned.

These final four inspections closed out_the Bulletin 88-01 actions for Braidwood Station.

This information was provided in Reference (2).
