Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No. 1 Docket No. 50-334, License No. DPR-66 ASME Section XI Code Case N-288 Gentlemen:
Code Case N-288 waived the 100 F minimum test temperature requirement for both. Class 1 and Class 2 components constructed entirely of austenitic materials.
We request NRC staff authorization to use Code Case N-288 during the remainder or our first 10-year ISI interval presently scheduled to end September 20, 1984.
Various inservice inspections including Hydrostatic Testing, will be performed during the next two refueling outages, the first of which is scheduled to begin in May of 1986.
Your timely review of this request would be appreciated in order to plan outage activities in preparation for our May 1986 (fifth refueling) outage.
