APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL UNDER THE JOINT GUIDE
Dear Mr. Boyle:
Westinghouse Electric Company LLC requested approval of an amendment request for the Model No. USA/9297/AF-96 Traveller STD, XL, and VVER Packages, under the auspices of NUREG-1886, Joint Canada-United States Guide for Approval of Type B(U) and Fissile Material Transportation Packages. This amendment is submitted to include new contents for accident tolerant fuels and 7wt.% U235 fuel rods. I will mail you a copy of the applicants consolidated safety analysis report in compliance with NUREG-1886.
We anticipate issuing Revision No. 12 of the certificate of compliance in the August 2020 timeframe and, if needed, a request for additional information in the May 2020 timeframe.
