In Referenco 1-the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commiscion (NRC) required all holders -
of operatf ng licenses for nuclear power reactaky to identify all locations where the Therwo-Lag 330 fire barrier system has bewa used for the protection of wide cable trays and small diameter conduits (as defined in Reference - 1) and'to provido a. written response to the_ NRC, In response to Reference 1, the Nebraska Public Power District (District) informed the NRC (Referer ce 2) that two fire -
barriers;at Cooper Nuclear Station (CNS) were within the scope of NRC Bulletin
'92-01.
The District's response was accepted by the NRC per Reference 3.
- 1 Subsequently, Supplement 1 to NRC Bulletin 92-01' (Reference 4) was issued. This supplement expands the scope of Bulletin 92 01 to address all installations of-Thermo-Lag 330 installations utilized to-form one and three hour fire barriere on all sizes of conduit and. trays and to include walls, cei- = r$s c and equipment-enclosures. As directed by Supplement 1 of the referenced bulletin, the District hereby provides iu response.
The District has evaluated the Thermo-Lag fire barrier. installations at CNS against the expande.d scope of the supplement and has determined that there are no additional applicable one or three hour barriers other than those previously 05o1T/ ~

As previously stated in Reference 2, the District has implemented appropriate compensatory measures in those areas that are consistent with Technical Specifications for inoperable fire barriers. These compensatory measures will remain in place until the CNS specific one hour rated fire bacriers i
