DPR-42 50-306 DPR-60 License Amendment Request Dated September 21, 1992 Instrumentat111 Specification Changes Attached is a request for a change to the Technical Specifications, Appendix A of the Operating Licenses, for the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant.
This request is submitted in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR Part 50, Section 50.90.
The attached license amendment request proposes changes to Prairie Island Technical Specification Sections 1.0, 3.,, and 4.1 and associated Bases. This license amendment request proposes changeu to surveillance test intervals and allowed outage times for the engineered safety features and reactor protection system instrumentation consistent with the NRC Staff position as documented in NRC letters to the Westinghouse Owners Group (Exhibit A, References 1, 2, and 5).
The attached license amendment request also includes several editorial changes to the Prairie Island Technical Specifications that are unrelated to the changes det ,1 bed above.
Exhibit / mtains a description of the proposed changes, the reasons for requesting the changes and the supporting safety evaluation /significant hazards determination. Exhibit B contains current Prairie Island Technical Specification pages marked up to show the proposed changes. Exhibit C contains tha revised Technical Specification pages.
