Revision 31 to the FNP Security Plan Ladies and Gentlemen:
In accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(p), Southern Nuclear Operating Company submits Revision 31 to the FNP Security Plan. In accordance with 10 CFR 50.4(b)(4), the signed original aad three copies are being sent to the Document Control Desk, and two copies are being sent to the appropriate Regional Office.
Southern Nuclear has reviewed Revision 31 to the FNP Security Plan concerning redefining " annual"
)
or " annually" per a technical specifications type formula, decreasing the frequency of PA boundary checks, and redefining the main power block protected area PAP barrier, and has determined that the revision does not decrease the safeguards effectiveness of the FNP Security Plan.
The changes contained in Revision 28 concern a biometrics access control system, and will not be issued until the biometrics access control system has been implemented. (The biometrics revision to the FNP Security Plan will not be number 28, but will be numbered sequentially with the appropriate FNP Security Plan revision at that time.)
Please note that the information contained in Attachment 1 is safeguards information, and should be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with 10 CFR 73.21.
