In accordance with 10 CFR 50.90 and 10 CFR 50.4, Georgia Power Company hereby submits three copies of Amendment 31 to the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP)
Unit I and Unit 2 Physical Security and Contingency Plan (the Security Plan). By copy of this letter two copies of Amendment 31 are being provided to the NRC Region II oflice.
This Security Plan amendment proposes to change the tactical response deployment strategy utilized during certain security emergencies. provides the description and justification for the changes, enclosure 2 gives insertion instructions, enclosure 3 contains Amendment 31 pages, and contingent upon NRC approval, enclosure 4 will be the new effective page list for the VEGP Physical Security and Contingency Plan. The information contained in enclosure 3 is safeguards information and should be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with 10 CFR 73.21.
