" DEPARTURE FROM NUCLEATE -BOILIN'] RATIO (DNBR) LIMITS BASES CHANGE'

Enclosed is a requested' amendment to the TS bases of SQN Units 1 and 2.

'The proposed chango will delete certain specific parameters and references that pertain to tha DNBR limits.- This is required to allow the SQN bases to reflect the'use'of the.new Mini-Revised Thermal Design Procedure and will eliminate the need to revise the TSa-in the future if

other staff-approved thermal design procedures are used..

The justification

' r-the proposed change is provided in'-En.losure 2.

NRC' approval must be received before the end of.the Unit 1 Cycle 6 (U106) refueling' outage because=this change is directly related to each. unit's Cycle 7 reload. analysis.

The-UIC6' refueling outage-is scheduled ~to begin

' April 2,'1993.- A perjod of'~30 days is-also requested to implement the TS

' change.
