CONONWEALTH EDISON COMPIWY'S NOTICE OF DEPOSITIONS (NRC STAFF WITNESSES ON NEINER FARMS CONIENTION 4)

Pursuant to 10 C.F.R. S2.720(h) (2) (i) and S2.740a(a), notice is

'hereby given that en May 17, 1985, Comonwealth Edison Ccupany (" Applicant")

shall depose one or more NRC Staff witnesses to be identified by the Executive Director of Operations. The deponents shall be the hTC Staff witnesses who have knowledge and infonnation regarding Neiner Farms Con-tention 4 which concerns the risks of explosion of munitions trains passing near the Braidwood Plant. Specifically, the witnesses shall be: (1)

any NRC Staff witness who has prepared or participated in the preparation of any analyses of the probability of occurrence of such of an event, or who l has been or will be assigned to conduct such analyses; and/or (2) any NRC Staff witness who has prepared or participated in the preparation of a structural analysis of the Braidwood Plant relative to the inpact of such j an event, or who has been or.will~be~ assigned to conduct such an analysis.

.The deponents shall bring with them all documents and reports which cmiprise their analyses, and-all documents and materials which were relied upon by them in the preparation of the analyses, including but not Llimited to: relevant regulatory guides and standard review plan l . provisions; specific data regarding the nature and frequency of the munitions shipnents;. data regarding the potential energy of the specific armunition considered; and data regarding the structural integrity of the

-Braidwood Plant facilities to withstand external events.

The deposition (s) shall begin at 9:00 A.M. on May 17, 1985 and continue thereafter until empleted at the offices of Isham Lincoln &

Beale, Three First National Plaza, Suite 5200, Chicago,' Illinois 60602.
