Attached are the objectives for the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station (PBAPS), Units 2 and 3, 1996 Graded Emergency Preparedness Exercise, scheduled for November 19,1996. In accordance with guidance provided in the reference letter, this information is being submitted ninety days prior to i
the start of the exercise. This is an off-hours full participation exercise, therefore, it willinvolve off-site emergency response organizatioris.
The reference letter provides guidance on the submittal of emergency exercise objectives and scenario guidelines. Additionally, it specifies that the scenario only be protected and distribution i
i limited to those individuals identified in the letter. However, based on our conversations with NRC l
Region I representatives conceming the confidentiality of emergency exercise objective and scenario i
guidelines, the attached objectives will only be distributed to those individuals specified as recipients I
in the letter and is not for public disclosure.
PECO Energy has designated Mr. Gerard A. Bird, Manager, Emergency Preparedness Section to l
Interface with the NRC regarding this exercise. He will be in contact with the appropriate Individuals at NRC Region I regarding the specific timeframe for this off-hours exercise. Please forward any future correspondence conceming this exercise to him at the address below.
