s Union Electric Company herewith transmits an application for amendment to Facility Operating LicenFO Number NPF-30 for the Callaway Plant. This amendment application requests a revision to Technical Specification 3.9.7 and associated Bases to allow the fuel pool transfer '

gates to travel over fuel assemblies in the spent fuel pool for refueling activities, fuel aandling system maintenance, >

and transfer gate seal replacement.

The Callaway Plant On-Site Review Committee and the Nuclear Safety Review Board have reviewed and approved this amendment application. Attachments 1 through 5 provide the Technical Specification changes, Safety Evaluation, Significant Hazards Evaluation,-and Environmental Consideration, respectively. It has been determined that this amendment' application does not involve any unreviewed '

safety questions as defined in 10CFR50.59, nor a significant hazard consideration as determined per 10CFR50.92.
