Waterford 3 SES Docket No. 50-382 License No. NPF-38 Response to Initial SALP Report for the Period of May 1, 1991 through August 1, 1992 Gentlemen:
The purpose of this letter is to respond to the Initial Systematic Assessment of Licensee Performance (SALP) Report for Waterford 3 for the period of May 1, 1991, through August 1, 1992, which was transmitted in the NRC letter from J.L.-Milhoan to R.P. Barkhurst, dated September 25, 1992.
Entergy Operations, Inc, recognizes the eu ensive effort given by the NRC in the overall performance assessment process and is pleased to achieve one of the best SALP scores in Region IV. We appreciate the positive comments given by the NRC in the October 27, 1992, SALP presentation and agree 5:ith the NRC's overall performance assessments.
We are particularly pleased to have maintained the proposed Category 1 ratings in the functional areas of plant operations, radiological controls, emergency preparedness, and security. We believe the Category l' rating proposed in the area of maintenance / surveillance is indicative of our commitment to improve in that area.
