[fRRECTION TO INSERVICE INSPECTION
SUMMARY
REPORT by letter MSV-00876 dated February 13, 1992, Georgia Power Company (GPC) submitted Volumes 1 and 2 of the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Unit 1 (VESP-1) Inservice Inspection (ISI) Fint.1 Report which discussed ISI activities conducted at VEGP-1 during the fall 1991 maintenance / refueling outage.
Those report volumes constituted the " Owner's Report for Inservice Inspection (Form NIS-1)" required by Subsubarticle IWA-6230 of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and. Pressure Vessel Code,Section XI, 1983 Edition with Addenda th.w gh Summer 1983.
During the course of preparing the ISI Final Report document for ISI activities conducted at Unit 2 (VEGP-2), it was noted that certain examinations which were performed during the VEGP-1 Fall 1991 maintenance / refueling outage had not bean addressed in the_ISI Final Repert for VEGP-1.
Similar examinations were performed at VEGP-2 during the Spring 1992 maintenance / refueling outage and were addressed in the VEGP-2 ISI Final Peport for that outage.
Specifically, the surface examinacion.of four 2-inch thermowell-to-i, ranch connection welds were inadvertently omitted froni the VEGP-1 ISI Final Report.
The subject welds resulted from a piping modification which was performed during the VEGP-l Fall 1991.
maintenance / refueling outage on the RTD section of the Reactcr Coolant System, The examination re*ults for each of the thermowell-to-branch connection welds were satisfactory.
Enclosed are corrected pages which are to be incorporated into Volume 1 of the report submitted by our "05000425/LER-1991-012, :on 911211,thermal Barrier Isolation Valves Declared Inoperable.Caused by Inadequate Original Vendor Specified Info.Torque Switch Limiter Plates for Valves 2HV-19051,2HV-19053 & [[SSC" contains a listed "[" character as part of the property label and has therefore been classified as invalid.
