Washington, DC 20555 PRAIRIE ISLAND NUCLEAR GENERATING PLANT Docket No. 50-306 License No. DPR-60 Prairie Island Unit 2 Reactor Vessel Material Surveillance Program Reoort On May 29,1995 Prairie Island Unit 2 Vessel Material Surveillance Capsule "P" was removed from the reactor vessel. As stated in Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 50, Appendix H, Section ill (A), a summary technical report is to be submitted within one year of the above date, unless an extension is granted by the Director, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation. An extension was granted to July 31, 1996 by letter dated May 29,1996.
Attached is the technical report summarizing the results of the analysis of Capsule P.
In addition, we are enclosing the evaluation of pressurized thermal shock for Unit 2, performed in accordance with 10 CFR Part 50 Section 50.61 for your information.
In this letter we have made no new Nuclear Regulatory Commission commitments.
