NPPD Letter (CNSS941564) from G.

Horn to the USNRC, dated June 20, 1994, "NPPD Response to Inspection Report 50-298/93-202."
The Nebraska Public Power District's (District's) response to 'liolacions 93-202-04 and 93-202-05 (reference 2) stated that a Training Compliance Matrix was being developed to better define the basis for existing training programs and to ensure that internal and external training requirements are being met.
The purpose of this communication is to notify the NRC that the District has revised its me:4ns for tracking training program commitments as described below.
The District initiated the development of a Training Compliance Matrix as committed in Reference 2.
However, subsequent to initiation of this effort, the District re-organized its Training Department, and re-baselined its training programs in accordance with current Institute for Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) guidance.
This effort included an in-depth investigation and reevaluation of each program and it's bases, and revision as necessary.
As part of this effort, training program guardians have been designated and tasked with monitoring existing and future commitments. Training related commitments are required to be identified on lesson plan cover sheets.
These activities have and will continue to ensure that internal and external training program requirements are met.
The District believes this program will better assist in ensuring that personnel are fully trained and qualified to perform their required tasks.
Please contact me if you have any questions concerning this matter.
Sincerely, h
P. D.
