BORAFLEX DEGRADATION IN SPENT FUEL POOL STORAGE RACKS i
HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NO. NPF-57 DOCKET NO. 50-354 On June 26, 1996, the NRC issued a generic letter to inform all licensees of issues concerning the use of Boraflex in spent fuel storage racks.
At the Hope Creek Generating Station, Boraflex is not used in the spent fuel pool storage racks and therefore no response is required to address the issues in Generic Letter 96-04.
The Hope Creek spent fuel storage racks are conatructed of stainless steel and'the neutron absorber is Boral.
