50-328 In accordance with the requirements of IWA-6220 of Section XI of the ASME Code and as specified in Section 16 of SI-114.2, the Inservice Inspection (ISI) program for unit 2 of the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, enclosed is a summary report of the ISI performed on unit 2 during the cycle 2 refueling outage.
The delay in submittal of this report was discussed with, and agreed to by Carl Stahle of your staff in a telephone conversation on March 11, 1985.
The inspections were performed by the Nondestructive Examination Section of TVA; Southwest Research Institute; and Combustion Engineering, Inc.,
personnel. This report concludes examinations to be conducted within the 36-month inspection cycle in accordance with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code,Section XI (1977 edition through summer 1978 addenda). TVA utilized a third-party inspector (the Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company, ANII) to witness and verify the examinations.
