50-328 SEOUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT (SON) - SPENT FUEL POOL (SFP) SURVEY RESPONSE i
The purpose of this letter is to provide confirmation of specific commitments as requested in the NRC !etter to TVA dated July 2,1996. The NRC letter requested TVA to commit to the following: (1) provide a revision to the SON Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR) to reflect the new SFP rate of evaporation, (2) provide a revisicn to the UFSAR for the recently completed SFP rerack project, and (3) revise the appropriate procedure that instructs the operators to stop the SFP cooling pumps.
TVA will provide to NRC Amendment 12 of the SON UFSAR by December 6,1996.
Amendment 12 willinclude Items 1 and 2 above. Item 3 is complete. System Operating Instruction 78.1, " Spent Fuel Pit Coolant System," has been revised to delete the caution to secure SFP cooling pumps at 180 degrees Fahrenheit.
