Station on January 23 through March 21, 1996. Five apparent violations were identified in that report which were discussed at a Predecisional Enforcement Conference held on April 26, 1996. These apparent violations involved failure to properly control the configuration of safety-related systems. The Reference 2 report summarized the discussion that took place at the Enforcement Conference. A Notice of Violation and Proposed Imposition of a Civil Penalty related to the apparent violations was provided in Reference 3. Finally, Reference 4 constitutes Ikaidwood Station's response to the Notice of Violation and Civil Penalty.

In the response, Braidwood identified actions to be taken to improve performance in 3 2 0 0 0 =, the out-of-service and configuration control areas.

Nuclear Regulatory Commission July 15,1996 training for necessary personnel. In order to optimize the opportunity for a smooth transition to the enhanced OOS process, the Station plans to conduct additional orientation and training. As a result, the implementation of the revised OOS process j

'will occur on or before August 1,1996. Until the new process is adopted, interim I

controls that are currently in place will remain in effect.
