The purpose of this letter is to provide for your review the Inservice testing pumps and valves program for the BFNs Units 1,2 and 3 second inspection interval. The code of record for this interval is the 1986 Edition of the ASME' Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code,Section XI. The 120-month interval covered by this program begins September 1,_1992.

Enclosure 1 contains the updated Inservice testing pumps and valves program which conforms to the 1986 Edition of the ASME Section XI Code. The updated program contains 34 requests for relief from specific testing requirements of tt.e Code. All requests for relief contained in the revised program were approved for the initial 120-month inspection interval.
