I am a Michigan resident opposed to dry cask storage of high-level nuclear vas_tejat Palisades nuclear opwer plant.
Without general public. notification or imput we have been sited for a high-level waste dump, 150 ydl. from Lake Michigan, 1/5 the world's fresh water. This deadly waste cannot be stored safely anywhere, so we will most likely be a permanent regional dump. N0! The D.O.E. has stated they will not be liable for these vastes if an interim site is not butit by 1998, a date the Government Accounting Office states is unlikely.
