Dear Mr. Weiss:
1 The Water Quality Control Divisien has held various discussions with the Public Service Company concerning the discharge of tritium during the decommissioning prosess. As an outgrowth of these discussions, a document titled, Tritium Discharge Understanding betwen Public Service Company and tlw Colorado Department ofHeahh, Water Quality Control Division, was developed. This document discusses the procedures and the calculation of acceptable discharge levels for the tritium discharge. A copy is included for your review. He Division feeis that, as long as PSC follows the procedures in the document, that the tritium instream standard of 20,000 pci/t should be protected. Therefore, the Division's concerns on this project have heen adequately addressed.
