-. - -. = _ IIT1(TJiS FOR DUTY SIX MONTH REPORT: danuary 1, 1992 through June 30, 1992 linnag.gment Actions o There were no appeals on confirmed positive tests duri;] this reporting period. o GGNS has an appeal board comprised of five Managers. New Board members were appointed during this reporting period. This decision was predicated upon selecting board members that better represent the different organizational membership due to organizational realignments. Initiatives TAl2D o A Ficness for Duty Peer Group Meeting comprised of FFD Program Administrators from the three Entergy sites (GGNS, Arkansas Nuclear One and Waterford 3) was held durjng this report period. Areas discussed were: o Standardization of the manner and frequency of backshift testing. o A contingency plan for continued on-site drug testing in the event of a shortage of reagents with the present-supplier. o Consideration of new on-site drug testing equipment that could replace the equipment currently l being used, A FFD'information newsletter was published to remind o Supervisors and Managers of their responsibility in recognizing and ensuring that those needing Supervisory FFD training, especially those who may be temporarily upgsaded to Supervisor, will receive it.
lifi9.R.t1YC.nof_s Evaluation An internal Entergy Operations audit (QSA-92/0017) revealed no significant weaknesses to the program. The weaknesses identified were mainly administrative in nature and all were corrected during the audit. The overall results ~f the audit confirm that the program established to address Fitness for 2 Duty requirements is adequate and is being effectively implemented. Bandom Tqstina Rate The random testing rate for the six-month period was approximately 43%. Because of the demands of a refueling outage at GGNS (RFOS) this figure is somewhat lower than what was expected. The Fitness for Duty Section at GGNS has increased its random testing rate to insure that at least 100% of its population possessing unescorted access will have been tested by the end of the year.
