Subject:
Response to Request for Additional Information Regarding Steam Generator Tube Rupture Analysis Gentlemen:
In a letter dated July 24,1992 [ Reference (b)], the NRC requested additional information regarding the report entitled " Analysis of a Postulated Design Basis Steam Generator Tube Rupture for Seabrook Station,' which was previously transmitted via Reference (c), and supplemented via Reference (d). Specifically, the NRC requested the released activity of iodine and noble gas isotopes from both the primary and condary coolant individually as a function of time after the event, as well as integrateu airborne releases of each for all airborne release pathways. This request was clarified during a teleconference [ Reference (e)], to be limited to the total released activity of iodine and
- noble gas isotopes as a function of time after the event.
l Accordingly, the attached tables contain the requested information.
Specifically, l
Table 1 contains the isouic cross activity releases, as a function of time, independent of pathway and originating location, for the pre-iodine spike case. Table 2 contain. the same
-information for the coincident iodine spike case. These releases were compiled from the calculation used for the 'Seabrook Station - Steam Generator Tube Rupture Analysis."
