20555 Attention:

Mr. J. R. Miller, Chief Operating Reactor, Branch 3 Gentlemen:

DOCKET NOS. 50-266 AND 50-301 OFFSITE DOSE CALCULATION MANUAL POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT In a meeting held on October 11, 1984, Wisconsin Electric personnel met with members of your staff to discuss the proposed Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications (RETS) for the Point Beach Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2.

Also discussed at this meeting was the Point Beach Offsite Dose Calculation Manual (ODCM) which supports the RETS.

As agreed at this meeting, a revised RETS submittal was forwarded to your staff with our letter dated December 20, 1984.

We also agreed to provide a revised ODCM one month after the RETS submittal.

Enclosed is our revised ODCM.

Please be aware that this revised ODCM is presently undergoing a final review at Wisconsin Electric.

Since we do not anticipate any-significant changes to the ODCM and to meet our original schedule, we are providing the ODCM before this final review is complete.

We will promptly advise you of changes, if any, resulting from this review.

Our December 20, 1984, letter also discussed a cost bene-fit analysis we are conducting to justify our proposed specifications for operation of the Point Beach radioactive effluent waste treat-ment system.

We had anticipated providing the details of that analysis with this letter.

As discussed with Mr. Colburn on January 18, 1985, these details will be provided in a separate submittal which we expect to Express Mail to you in approximately 10 days.
