Dear Mr. Youngblood:

In order to keep you updated on changes in the Perry organization, this letter is to inform you that the Security Unit has been upgraded to the Site Protection Section. This change has been made in order to accurately reflect the scope of assigned responsibilites, provide for interfacing at desired organizational levels, and ensure effective management. The additional supervisory and specialist positions of Security Operations Supervisor, Security and Fire Systems Coordinator, Access Authorization Coordinator, Access Authorizer, and General Supervisor, Site Protection were created to supplement the existing positions of Security Shift Supervisor, Fire Protection Coordinator and Security Training Coordinator. The General Supervisor, Site Protection Section, is responsible for directing all activities required to develop and maintain a qualified security force and for ensuring that all provisions of the PNPP Security Plan are implemented. In addition, he is responsible for access authorization, coordination of fire protection activities, and training of Security and Fire Protection personnel. He reports to the Manager, Perry Plant Technical Departiaent.

Other changes included the additional positions of Fire Trainer and Fire and l

Security System Inspectors. The positions of Lead Security Officer, Security Officer A and Security Officer B remain.

This information will be incorporated, as appropriate, into a future FSAR Amendment.
