Dear Mr. Denton:
Section 6 of the Referenced letter stated that the Wolf Creek
" Maintenance Supervisor" would take additional training on the ASME Code Sections III and XI.
The Superintendent of Maintenance (the position title has changed since the date of the Reference) has completed training which concentrated on ASME Section XI, but has not taken training specifically directed at ASME Section III.
The next occasion for which it will be practical for che Superintendent of Maintenance to attend ASME Section III training is in June,1985.
KG&E believes it is acceptable to have delayed this training until June primarily because two key people who report to the Superintendent of Maintenance have successfully completed ASME Section III training.
These personnel are the Maintenance Services Supervisor and the Maintenance Support Supervisor. Another senior engineer in the Maintenance section has also received this training. In addition, contractor personnel with considerable ASME Section III experience will be available at Wolf Creek for the next several months.
