+. '?~ ENCLOSURE SPECIAL REPORT PER SPECIFICATION 3.12.1(c)

Sequoyah Nuclear Plant Technical Specification 3.12.1.(c) states the following:

"With milk or fresh leafy vegetable mples unavailable from one or more of the sample locations equired by Table 3.12-1, lieu of any other report required by Specification 6.9.1, prepare and submit to the Commission within 30 days, pursuant to Specification 6.9.2, a special Report which identifies the cause of the unavailability of samples and identifies locations for obtaining replacement samples. The locations from which samples were unavailable may then be deleted from those required by Table 3.12-1, provided' the locations from which the replacement samples were obtained are added to the environmental monitoring program as replacement locations."

In response to the 1984 Sequoyah Nuclear Plant (SQN) land use survey received in November 1984, doses were calculated for air submersion, vegetable ingestion, and milk ingestion. Locations having the highest calculated doses from air submersion and vegetable ingestions were not significantly different from those calculated as a result of the 1983 land use survey report. The annual calculated doses from milk ingestion (tabulated in the attached table) were, in most instances, lower than the 1983 calculated doses. These reductions were the result of variations in the pasture feeding factors used in the calculations. At one location, the southeast sector at 2,940 meters, milk-producing animals were removed . from the area and milk samples were no longer available. In its place, vegetation samples were collected monthly. This location will no longer be sampled. The 1984 land use survey also identified one new location, in the east sector at 2,710 meters, which had a milk-producing animal from which samples were no t being collected. This locatior. with one milk-producing animal (with insufficient quantities of milk available) will be added to the sampling program as a monthly vegetation sampling site.
