CAHRMS Monitor Location to Reference 2 requested a waiver from NUREG-0737, Item II.F.1, Attachment 3.

This was incorrect, in that the intent of Enclosure 4 was solely to document to NRR, conversations between Edison and a Region III inspector (Mr. C. Gill), at the request of the inspector.

The conver-sations concerned the acceptability of the CAHRMS detectors inside primary containment, with respect to guidance provided in NUREG-0737, Item II.F.1.

As reflected in Enclosure 4 to Reference 2, the location of the CAHRMS detectors is considered by Edison to be the optimum considering the large amount of equipment, structures and piping in the drywell.

Similarly, it was indicated that both FSAR Section H.II.F.1.3 and SER Section 22 (page 22-63) confirm that the Fermi 2 CAHRMS monitors meet the criteria of Item II.F.1 of NUREG-0737.
