, Scoce of Studv Investigate capability of structures (foundations, tank, supports, etc.) and piping to withstand DBE of 0.2 g ground acceleration.

Findings (1)

Fuel Oil Tank Foundation (F-34280)

- Foundation is a crushed stone ring wall which will fail due to flexure during the seismic event.

(2) 20 MW Gas Turbine Foundation (M-5513)

- Foundation is a reinforced concrete mat replica of the original GT foundation.

- Unable to qualify foundation since loads are not available.

Fuel Oil Tank (Drawing not available)

- Tank will f, ail due to foundation failure.

- This pi ing is direct buried.

(5) 69kV Switchyard

- Per the results of the Probability Risk Assessment (FRA) study performed by Structural Mechanics Associates in December 1983 the switchyard will fail due to insulator failure at, or.below, the DBE acceleration of 0.2g.
