SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE The Virgil C.

Summer Nuclear Station, Unit No. 1, was operating at 75% power at the beginning of January 1985.

On January 7, 1985, at 2249 hours0.026 days <br />0.625 hours <br />0.00372 weeks <br />8.557445e-4 months <br />, the unit was shutdown for repair of a turbine generator hydrogen leak.

The outage was 38.9 hours1.041667e-4 days <br />0.0025 hours <br />1.488095e-5 weeks <br />3.4245e-6 months <br /> in duration.

On January 13, 1985, at 0542 hours0.00627 days <br />0.151 hours <br />8.96164e-4 weeks <br />2.06231e-4 months <br />, the unit was shutdown because of an inadvertent resin intrusion into the secondary side of the Plant.

The Plant was restarted when chemistry limits were reestablished.

The outage was 49.1 hours1.157407e-5 days <br />2.777778e-4 hours <br />1.653439e-6 weeks <br />3.805e-7 months <br /> in duration.

On January 31, 1985, the Plant was operating at 100% power.
