[External_Sender] Re: Update please

Michele, I do understand that the exam is postponed. We are open for experiments and required surveillances, but campus is shut down until April 6th for classes and visitors. Our off-campus experimenters have rescheduled. For that reason we will likely go to a reduced schedule next week, remaining open for only 2-3 weekdays. We have full access to the facility at this time so that we can change air monitor filters, fill the pool, and walk down the building even if the reactor will not be operated.

Update please Dr. Geuther, Please provide an update of your facility status. Given the National initiatives and recommendations we want to stay in contact and understand any limitations or restrictions on the reactor status, operator licenses, and Technical Specification complications. NRC is interested in many other aspects, so please reach out with any questions, comments, or concerns. Feel free to direct questions, comments, or concerns to your Project Manager, appropriate Inspector, either Branch Chief, or myself as necessary.

Please confirm your understanding the examination scheduled for this week is postponed at this time. We will work together to reschedule the operator licensing exams as soon as possible once there is clear direction from all involved and affected by the COVID-19 situation.

Thank you, Michele DeSouza Chief Examiner 301-415-0747
