Dear Mr. Schwencer:

As requested by the Meteorological Branch reviewer in the reference conference call, we are providing for your review as attachment no. I to this letter, the surmarized hourly data comparisons between Limerick meteorological towers 1 and 2 for the period October 15, 1983 to December 31,198f+.

This surmary~ indicates that Tower 2 data correlate well with data from corresponding levels on Tower 1 for the parameters required by LGS Technical Specification 3.3.7.3 and Regulatory Guide 1.97, Revision 2.

Therefore, it is appropriate that Tower 2 data be used as backup when Tower 1 is inoperable, as permitted by present Limerick technical specifications.
