Status of Remaining Equipment Qualification Work Per your telephone request of March 7, 1985, the follow-ing is the status of the remaining items which are not completely qualified per the provisions of 10CFR50.49.

2 the replacement of the system has been completed. Purchase orders were released approximately in June 1984.
Installation work packages are being prepared.
Equipment delivery has been delayed due to fabrication difficulties and documentation deficiencies.
Expected delivery is May 1985 with work completion expected by August.
Transmitter Required design work on Replacement applicable.Rosemont and GEMAC transmitter replacement has been completed.
Purchase orders were released 8503120083 850307 approximately in July, 1984.
PDR ADOCK 05000341 Installation is A

Mr. M. D. Lynch March 7, 1985 NE-85-0453 Page 2 currently in progress.
Some transmitters have not been received and are scheduled for April delivery.
Complete installation is expected by June 1985.
Limitorque Motor Required design has been Operators completed. Purchase orders were released in July, 1984.
William Powell Valve Co. has been on strike since July, 1984 and this has caused numerous delays in processing the orders.
The orders are currently scheduled for delivery in August of 1985.
Detroit Edison management is taking an active role in expediting the order.
Completion is expected by October 1985.
Standby Gas Treatment Required design work has been System Panel Relocation completed.
Fire protection amd Modification modifications, specifically fire wrapping,' necessitated some redesign of cable routes and relocation of devices.
Additional material procurement and this design change impacted the original completion goal.
Completion is expected by October 1985.
HVAC Terminal Block Required design work has been Replacement completed and the material is onsite.
Completion is expected by May, 1985.
Additional Testing
-MSIV Manifold Edison joined an Owners Group
Mr. M. D. Lynch March 7, 1985 NE-85-0453 Page 3 for testing the assembly at Wyle Laboratories.
The test has been completed.
Anomalies at the upper bound of the test data require further analysis prior to issuance of the final qualification report.
Expected completion is by June 1985.
-Current Trans-Detroit Edison is having formers qualification tests performed at NTS (ACTON) Laboratories.
Completion is expected by September 1985.
-Electrical Tape Tape utilized for cable terminations is being tested-at Wyle Laboratories for Detroit Edison.
Completion is expected by June 1985.
All of the above actions represent work outside containment and will be complete prior to November 30, 1985.. The items above have been justified to you for interim operation by reference (2) through November 30, 1985, as a minimum.
All remaining plant equipment, including equipments justified for interim operation per 4
reference (2) not listed above, are now qualified per 10CFR50.49.
