Farley Nuclear Plant - Unit 2 Steam Generator F* Technical Specification Amendment Ladies and Gentlemen.
By letter dated April 22,1996, Southern Nuclear Operating Company requested an amendment to the Farley Unit 2 Technical Specifications concerning F* The amendment revised the definition of the F* distance to 1.54 inches plus an allowance for eddy current uncertainty. In discussions with the NRC Staff, Southern Nuclear has been requested to revise the submittal to include a location where the eddy current uncertainty will be documented.
Consequently, the amendment is being revised to state that the allowance for eddy current uncertainty will be documented in the steam generator eddy current inspection procedure.
A revised technical specification page is attached. As noted in the April 22,1996 submittal, this revised technical specification page is based on approval of the alternate repair criteria for outside diameter stress corrosion cracking at tube support plate intersections.
The existing 10 CFR 50.92 Significant IIazards Evaluation is not affected by this change and remains valid.
