AUSTIN, TEX AS 78 712 Department of AfechanicalEngineering Nuclear Engineering Program 312 - 471-3136 February 27, 1985 Standardization and Special Projects Branch Division of Licensing Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D.C. 20555 Atten: Cecil Thomas Re: Docket #50-602

Dear Sir:

The enclosed pages are provided in response to questions regarding The University of Texas Emergency Plan submitted November 9, 1984.

The page labeled Figure 1.0 is provided as the referenced block diagram in Section 2.0 page 8 of the plan. This figure was inadvertently omitted from the initial submittal.

The page labeled "A4" is submitted as the titles of Emergency procedures and guidance documents to be written in support of maintaining emergency prepared- -

ness. These documents are to be prepared when suffi-cient details of the new facility are available for an accurate preparation of the procedures. Similiar pro-cedures have been prepared for the Emergency Plan ap-plied to the current facility license R-92.

Agreement letters are not provided with the plan. Efforts to obtain letters of agreement are not considered appropriate for a proposed facility that is not to be functional for nearly two (2) years. Ample time exists to obtain letters before the facility is functional and without unnecessary confusion to off-site response groups about the facility status.
