Dear Chairman Palladino:
On September 1984 we sent you an Open Petition signed by over 450 residents requesting the htclear Regulatory Commission revoke the license of General Public Utilities.
Please find enclosed the signatures of over 300 addtional area residents who are convinced that GPU lacks the requisite character to safely operate Three Mile Island Unit 1.
We hope you have taken time to carefully review the synopsis (TMIA Petition for Revocation of License of GPU) that was enclosed in the last mailing.

The TMI Unit 1 restart hearing is scheduled to begin November 14th in Harrisburg before the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board of the NRC.

OPEN PETITION October 19 & 20, 1984 General Public Utilities (GPU), owner and operator of S ree Mile Island (TMI), has been guilty of criminal dishonesty for six (6) years. Rey " lack the requisite character" to safely operate a nuclear reactor.
Character" is one of the few criteria expressly established bf Congress in the Atomic Energy Act for the holding of a license. We urge the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to revoke the license of GPU.'
