Request for Relief From Certain ASME Code Requirements for Inservice Inspection for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Gentlemen:
By letter dated August 14, 1995 (Serial Number 2302), Toledo Edison submitted Relief Request RR-All for Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approval pursuant to 10CFR50.55a(g)(5)(iii). Relief was requested from ASME Code examination coverage requirements for five Pressurizer Nozzle to Head welds and six Steam Generator Nozzle to Head Welds and their associated Inside Radius Sections subject to subsection IWB, Table IWB-2500-1, Examination Category B-D, Item Numbers B3.120 and B3.140. Additional information to support this relief request was submitted by letter dated January 26, 1996 (Serial Number 2352). Upon further discussion with the NRC Toledo Edison has elected to withdraw the portion of Relief Request RR-All related to the Inside Radius Section Examinations.
