Dear Mr. Milhoan:
In Attachment 1 of Illinois Power's May 31, 1984, letter to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, we identified a number of reviews that had been performed relating to the design of the Clinton Power Station (Clinton). Those reviews are, of course, available to Bechtel for such use as it is deemed appropriate in the conduct of the Independent Design Review of Clinton.
At our request, Sargent and Lundy (S&L) has performed an analysis at the following independent reviews of S&L design activities a,s they apply to Clinton: the INPO review of Clinton, the Teledyne Independent Design Review of LaSalle Unit 1, the NRC Integrated Design Inspection of Byron Unit 1, and the Cygna Independent Design Verification of Fer:si Unit 2.
That analysis was completed and provided ec us on Ocecber 10, 1984. As in the case of the reviews mentioned in our May 31, 1984 letter, this S&L analysis is available to Bechtel for use as it deems appropriate.
