Dear Mr. Denton:
This letter provides additional information regarding the environmental qualification of mechanical equipment for Byron and Braidwood stations.
NRC review of this information is necessary to
- close Outstanding Item 7 of the Byron SER.
In Attachment 3 to reference (a) we indicated that the air diaphrams'on the pressurizer PORV's would be replaced because complete environmental qualification of the installed diaphrams could not be established.
At the request of the NRC Staff, we have confirmed that those diaphrams have been replaced on Byron 1.
