Dear Mr. Denton:

This is to clarify the intent of Attachment 7 to Reference (a).

Regarding the Containment High Range Radiation Monitors at Byron, we are requesting a waiver from the factory calibration requirements in NUREG 0737 on the basis that the calibration described in Attachment 7 is an acceptable alternative.

We were not addressing any change to "In Situ" calibration.

Please address further questions regarding this matter to this office.
