V0GTLE ELECTRIC GEllERATif1G PLAfil Sl!)]fER IUNCILOLIALEST FiMS Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Units 1 and 2 (VEGP-1 and VEGP-2, respectively) Technical Specification (TS) 4.7.8e requires that the NRC Regional Administrator be notified in writing of the sample plan selected for snubber functional testing prior to the test period.

In accordance with that requirement, Georgia Power Ccapany (GPC) hereby submits the following summary of snubber types and sample plans to be used for functional testing to be performed during the fourth VEGP-1 (Outage IR4) and third VEGP-2 (Outane 2R3) maintenance / refueling outages currently scheduled to begin in March and September, 1993, respectively:

Inspection Type 1:

Pacific Scientific (Model PSA-1/4 through PSA-100)

TS Sample Plan 4.7.8e.1 Insmaction Type 11:

Anchcr/ Darling (Models AD-40 through AD-500)

TS Sample Plan 4.7.8e.1 Inspection Type !!!: Anchor / Darling (Models AD-1600 through AD-12500)

IS Sample Plan 4.7.8e.!

Inspection Type IV:

Paul-Munroe (Large Bore Hydraulics 1000K)

TS Sample Plan 4.7.8e.1 By copy of this letter, the NRC Region 11 Administrator is being provided with our snubber functional test plans for the upcoming VEGP-1 and 2 maintenance / refueling outages.

S. fluclear Regulatory Commission MSV-0ll34 Page two 091ess the 11RC is notified otherwise, it is the intention of GPC to perform snubber fun:tional testing in accordance with TS 4.7.8e.1 for Snubber inspection Types I through IV during each of the future maintenance / refueling outages at VEGP-1 and 2.

As you may be aware, the VEGP-1 and 2 Technical Specifications (15 4.7.8e) require the use of the functiont test sample plan used in the prior test period unless the ilRC Regional Administrator is notified of other functional test sample plan (s).

Accordingly, no future correspondence concerning functional test plans will be submitted to the l4RC for VEGP-1 and 2 following completion of Outages 1R4 and 2R3 unless there is a change of test plans.
