Dear Mr. Thomas:

This is in answer to your letter of November 7, 1984 concerning the Emergency Plan for the Purdue University Reactor. The plan has been implimeuted as *;f this date with the exception of section 9.2 Conduct of Drills and Exercises and section 9.3 Critiques of Drills and Exercises.

Radiation Control h s hired new personnel to conduct retraining of the off site units such as the Purdue Univers*ty Police Department and the Purdue University Fire Department. As their duties apply to the emergency plan. At the conclusion of the retraining, a prac-tice scenario for supervisory personnel will be scheduled to minimize interference with normal operations. This practice scenario will be conducted prior to August 23, 1985. A full scenario will be con-ducted by August 22, 1986.
