Dear Mr. Schwencer:
We have reviewed your Draft Environmental Statement (DES) - River Bend Station and offer the following comments:
a.
Section 4.3.2.1.1, page 4-12 and Section 5.3.1.1, page 5-2.
Other water supply intakes not listed in the DES are 1scated at Dow Chemical, river mile 210.2; U, S. Public Health Service Hospital at Carville, river mile 191.8; Monochem Industries, river mile 184.9; and Wyandotte Chemical Corporation, river mile 183.8.
b.
Section 5.3.1.3, page 5-3.
This section repeatedly makes reference to the "Old River Control Structure." The correct termi-nology is "Old River Control Project." The completion date of the auxiliary structure is given as 1985. The correct date is 1986.
c.
Information on the geology and seismicity of the area is "i
lacking.
