Response to NRC Bulletin 92-01, Supplement 1 Gentlemen:

I This letter transmits Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation's (VCNOC) response to NRC Bulletin No. 92-01, Supplement 1, which required licensees to determine all applicatim.s of Thermo-Lag 330 in their, f acilities and implemed appropriate compensatory measures in certain applications.

WCNOC Engineering has identified all Appendix R,

safe shutdown train separation, applications of the Thermo-Lag material and has issued E-11018(Q)

Rev. 01 which lists these applications.

In accordance with Administrative Procedure ADM 13 100, " Fire Protec tion Manual," compensatory measures in the form of fire watches have been implemented for-all applications within the scope of NRC Bulletin 92-01 and Supplement 1.

Long term actions to address Thermo-Lag issues are being developed through an industry program coordinated by Nuclear Management and Resources Council (NUMARC).
